Asst. Housekeeper (BL4)
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

Clean and maintain guest staterooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public spaces onboard the cruise ship

Change bed linens, vacuum, dust, disinfect surfaces, and restock room amenities.

Assist with cleaning of crew areas and workspaces when required.

Handle guests basic requests in German (e.g., towel requests, schedule inquiries).

Use cleaning tools and materials properly and report issues or malfunctions.

Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., USPH).

Participate in emergency drills, onboard training, and cleaning inspections.

Help during embarkation/disembarkation with luggage and room preparation.
Requirements

Basic knowledge or prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping preferred.

German proficiency at Berlitz Level 4 (CEFR A2+)
Can follow instructions, read checklists, and speak with supervisors or guests using simple language.
Physically fit to carry out repetitive tasks, lift, and move equipment.

Willingness to learn and participate in a multicultural team environment.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Good personal hygiene and grooming standards.

Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
