Entertainment Fly Assist
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:

Operate fly systems (manual or motorized) during shows and rehearsals On Board Cruise Ship.

Assist with the rigging and de-rigging of set pieces and equipment.

Conduct safety checks of all fly equipment prior to use.

Collaborate with stage managers, lighting, sound, and other tech departments to ensure seamless show execution.

Respond quickly and efficiently to cues and adapt to last-minute changes.

Participate in load-ins and load-outs of entertainment equipment.

Assist with general stage maintenance and cleanliness.

Adhere strictly to onboard safety standards and procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical theatre training or certifications in rigging, stage operations, or safety are an advantage.
- Minimum 12 years of experience operating fly systems in a theater or live entertainment setting.

Cruise ship or touring experience preferred but not mandatory.

Familiarity with rigging safety procedures.
Knowledge of counterweight and/or motorized fly systems.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow precise cue timing and take direction well.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment.

Comfortable working at heights and in dark or tight spaces
